Can't Get Enough!

I can't get enough of these beautiful sunsets here in Arizona! Sometimes when there isn't any clouds and the sun is completely behind the mountains, the color is a really bright pink! Its gorgeous!

Car!

All of my search efforts for about two weeks has finally paid off! My brother-in-law and I have been searching craigslist like nobody's business, and then one of his friends had a friend that was selling his car. So we called up the guy and we made a deal with him to get the car! Its a 2005 Honda Accord. But here's the catch...I probably wont keep the car. Since my mom and dad are paying for the car, they are thinking that the next time they take a trip down here they will trade it for my dads car. My dad does need a new car, but it will be sad to let it go, because it is very nice! At least it will hold me off until Thanksgiving!

I got a Job!!

I am now an employee of LifeTime Fitness Daycare! I am so excited! I've been wanting for a job like this for a long time, and it has finally come. Not to mention I get a free gym membership!! I start training on Saturday and I am ready to be a working girl!

Movie Night!

While Kristin and Darcy went to the temple, the kids and I decided to have an awesome movie night! I helped them build a fort right in front of the big screen and they loved it!! They were so excited to watch a movie in the fort. We watched Megamind which is one of my favorites. They loved the fort so much that the next night they decided to watch another movie in it. You got to love movie nights!

Torrential Downpour

We just had a torrential downpour, along with really loud thunder. Let's just say I got soaked! It was a little weird to wake up in the morning and find that its really gloomy outside, just like Oregon. The only difference was that Oregon rain is consistent all day. A little bit of home!

First Scorpion

The second night I was here in Arizona without my parents, Kristin and I caught my first scorpion inside the house! It was huge! We caught it inside a cup and I decided that we should put rubbing alcohol on it to see what will happen. It immediately started to freak out and sting itself to death, because they are not immune to their own venom. If you ever catch a scorpion just put rubbing alcohol on it and it will die!

I can't believe it!

I can't believe the time has come for me to leave home and go on my own fun little adventures. My family just left to go back home and it just hit me that I am now on my own to make my decisions. It was sad to see them leave and I am going to miss them and my friends who have gone their separate ways very very much. But the upside to all of this is that I get to live with these wonderful people!

Prom!

Senior year is not complete without prom, which is why I went! Shelly, my friend Bailey, and I decided to go as friends to prom this year. We had a fun filled night which consisted of painting our nails, going out to dinner at Olive Garden, and having a great time at the dance. The dance this year was at the Portland Art Museum. It was in a huge ballroom! Complete with balloons and an actual red carpet. It was definitely a night that I will always remember.IMG_2163

I got this dress at Abby’s Closet in Portland where they give away free second hand dresses. Of course I was able to find one and I loved it! We wanted sleeves on it and to fix the bottom because the bunching wasn’t right, so we went to a seamstress in my ward to fix it. It turned out great! It fit perfectly, it’s modest, and it’s comfortable. I also got the perfect shoes at Burlington Coat Factory. $14.99! I say that’s a good deal!

I went to a girl in my ward to do my hair. She did an AMAZING job! It looked great and she even put sparkles in my hair!

This corsage is not real. My mom and I went to Michaels and got the flowers I wanted and we hot glued everything. It wasn’t difficult and it turned out great!

18?!?

Wow! Its been 18 years? I can’t believe it! Time has flown by so quickly! For my 18th birthday my mom and I took my two friends to Saturday Market and to Voodoo Doughnut. Since it was my first time going to either one it was a very fun experience. Very creepy and weird but very fun. For the first time in months we finally got blue skies and sun! What a great day to go to Saturday Market on my birthday! We hit all the shops we wanted to go to and on the way, we bought fun and exciting things.

We were able to sit at the water front for our delicious doughnuts.

This was one of the most fun things to do. The cartoonist did such a good job cartooning our faces!

After our exciting but exhausting day, we came back home for pizza and one of my favorite movies “Leap Year”. Hana, my other really good friend, was able to come over for the movie.

This dress was a perfect dress for Easter Sunday! It’s kind of weird that I got a dress from Saturday Market, but I love it anyway!

Thank you to those four people who made my birthday a special day!
